Artist’s Statement
I draw and paint, observe and analyze what I see and experience. I travel in Finland and abroad. I walk in the nature, listen to the birds, feel the sounds of the wind in the grass and bushes. I see the reducing light and the strengthening of the colors in the scenery. I look for light; bright and dim and emotion in color. The reflections of weak light bring up my interest. I live the scenery. I am one with it. My landscape paintings are the emotion of color. Landscape in its transformativity is the charm of the observation. The concept of the seen landscape, the share of the memory in observation and the aesthetic experience when painting depict my works. I study space, long distances and extreme simplification,
