Artist’s Statement

My paintings are dealing with time, the past and the moment at hand.
Something wiped off, washed, painted over, oil paint on canvas = my painting process.
Living plants, plant parts, blossoms, stems, leaves or already withered flowers left in the vase serve as the starting point for my paintings.
The circulation, seasons, current events affect my paintings and history that repeats itself.
Work in progress moves you forward.
Life is unfinished. Small things become more important.
