Artist’s Statement

Art is the greatest way to understand the world and its phenomena. The metaphysics of things is what I pursue to reveal in my art. Definition is not needed when we experience art.

Bio

Born in Helsinki 1968. Lives and works in Turku.

Education: High school Graduate 1986: Liminka Art School 1989-1990; Imatra School of Fine Art 1990-1991; Turku School of Fine Art 1991-1995; Turku Polytechnic BA of Fine Art 2009-2011 .

Studied printmaking as a main course and is teaching it now at Turku Polytechnic, Degree programme of Fine Arts.

Main method nowadays pigment transfer among traditional printmaking methods.

Debyt exhibition Amor inspirers, Turku, 1995. Private exhibitions e.g.: Gallery Maaret Finnberg, 2010; Helsinki, Gallery G, 2007; Turku, Gallery Joella, 2005 and 2011.
