Artist’s Statement

My paintings develop slowly in the course of time by chance and intuition, by adding several thin layers of oil color one upon the other. I paint mostly with oil colours. I am fascinated by the depth and the slow painting process of oil colours. The driving force and starting point of my paintings are the relationships and the interaction of colours.

In my works inner experiences and emotions are often loosely related to physical events or objects - changes of the weather, passing of time - or visual elements and forms seen in architecture and in nature.
