Artist’s Statement

In my work I investigate two and three dimensionality of painting. I envision the base of a painting as a space, on which the paint creates works of art. In my paintings the space is metaphorically within a space.

I paint with watercolors and oil colors on paper. Besides of the traditional bases of paintings, I have pasted my paintings on furniture. In an exhibition, the paintings form picturesque rooms, inside of which the viewers can walk into.

The treatises of two and tree dimensionality are linked to different facets of the society, such as the presence of exclusion, homelessness and melancholy, but also freedom and drive for doing things.
