The Nature of an Image

A man acts in front of a mirror the way man sees the reflection. If the person is not satisfied with it, he or she improves the haircut or puts on more make up. Or makes an appointment to a plastic surgery. And none of us consciously wants the mirror to reflect someone else's image while we are looking at ourselves. Art functions always as a mirror for a man. It strives to be honest in it's reflection. That is beatiful. The act of art works as a mirror which represents our essence, our desires and feelings. But art changes it's maker and it's spectator only in so far as they relate to this reflection. For after all is the subject greater than the reflected image. And the reality more magical than the fiction. Yet am I not only a reflection myself, a moving image.
My art is animation based videos, to which three dimensional drawings and communal projects blend in. Everything I do is linked to the idea of reconstructing an image, as if pursuing new – even universal – aesthetic medium.
