Artist’s Statement

My working process is a fusion of painting, printmaking, sculpture and installation. I choose the techniques inspired by the space and the themes I am working with, and I often combine techniques boldly and experimentally. My work is guided by intuition and a need to spot the most successful accidents that will guide the process onwards.

I let the work process flow naturally, both regarding the actions of the paint material as well as the themes of the work. I don't restrict myself to the comfort of already familiar things, but time after time I challenge myself to face the unknown, to look for new visions in the media I use.

Respecting and protecting nature is important to me, and I have arranged exhibitions from which the sales have been donated to buying and conserving forest areas. I have also thought about the carbon footprint of my artistic work and looked for ways to diminish it significantly on an individual level, as a form of my artistic environmental activism.
