Artist’s Statement
I am fascinated by the possibilities
of photography as a way to tell
about time and its passage.
I aim to a minimalistic expression,
which works on many levels
simultaneously and leaves the
wiever room for interpretation.
A classic 8 x 10 inch large format
field camera and different
techniques of pinhole photography feel natural for me as the tools of expression. At times
I also use a video camera.
I also feel at home working on
crossover projects and with artists
of different mediums.
Most of my work is exploration of the meeting between man
and environment. A certain
element of "northernless" is
everpresent. The mystery of
existence fascinates me.
Regardless of the subject matter, the feeling of presence
is crucial. You have to feel the
pulse...
