Artist’s Statement
I am interested in creating artificial nature experiences using common hardware-store materials.
I build do-it-yourself landscapes using construction materials such as ropes, tarpaulins, plastic, buckets, cable-ties, concrete, ladders and scaffolding. The construction materials are given a new purpose as a part of an esthetic nature experience.
My works emphasize the artificiality and temporary nature of the urban landscape. My works are often site-specific and an spontaneous and effortless atmosphere is important in my work.
