Artist’s Statement
Paula Nordfors was born in Sydney, Australia in 1977. Returning to Finland with her parents at a young age, Paula has been continuously studying Art since 1998. Firstly she obtained her Degree in Painting, then her BA of fine Arts at the Lahti University of Applied Sciences (Art Institute) in 2007.
In 2010 she studied Documentary Photography at the Royal Academie of Art in The Hague in the Netherlands.
Traveling is instilled deeply into her lifestyle. She has lived, studied and worked in Australia, the Netherlands and Russia. To make a living while studying, she has been working in the Hospitality Industry. During this time, she has met a lot of different people. In this social environment she has learnt and experienced the diversity of different cultures.
Teaching children about art and cultures is also one of her pass times.
Paula is currently living in Helsinki, Finland.
