Artist’s Statement
I am a Finnish artist from Helsinki (b.1983) and I graduated as a Master of Arts from Aalto University - School of Arts, Design, and Architecture in 2010. The concept behind my artistic work is capsulated in the sentence “if it doesn’t make sense then it’s true”. Emerging through free association, my large-scale ink drawings burst with contradictory elements and exaggerated forms. Under the seemingly chaotic surface of my work lies a deep interest towards the essence of human nature.
