Artist’s Statement

Ilppo Alho's works are acrylic and alkyd paintings on canvas, steel and mdf. The working method of Ilppo Alho is a combination of systematic and spontaneous working in the handling of subjects and painting materials. The pictorial content of the works could be characterized by the established concept of the mindscape. The structures of the actual landscape image have been used as a conceptual framework of the works.
