Muistijäljet / Memory Tracks

Year: 2005
ympäristöteos
Technique: concrete

2005 / group Arba. tecnic: craphic concrete. Commisioned by ATT / The City of Helsinki. the blocks are 60cm x 60cm and 90cm x 90 cm. In addition, on the surface of the ground on the streets and gardens there are six big images. The biggest one of them are " clothes hanging in the winter" and "the wallpaper" of which both are 5m x 7m. The colours used are greys and blue, in differet variations.

The images on the graphic concrete blocks and on the streets tell about the history and life of the people in the area of Fallkulla in the 1920´s. The old wooden houses of the Fallkulla area were demolished in the 1980´s and this new living area from the beginning of the 2000´s is situated exactly on that place.
